This app is developed for anglers, divers and everyone interested in catching or observing fish. With a few clicks, log the photo of your catch or observation, get automatic location data and share photos with the community if you choose to. Your records will help scientists assess the status of fish populations enabling better fisheries management. Your records will also help train machine-learning algorithms for cutting-edge automated fish species and size identification.

FishSizeProject is free and non-commercial having been developed by scientists at the Nature Research Centre in Lithuania. By using this app, you will be contributing to important research that improves fisheries management. All data used in scientific analyses are anonymous and by default your private fishing locations will not be made public. But if you do choose to share your catch or observation publicly, the photo, time and your username will be displayed on the public page of the app. The first release of the app is focused on Lithuania, but records can be logged anywhere in the world. As the app grows, it will be adapted to researcher and citizen scientist needs around the world.
